Contract Supply & Parts Delivery
MTU offers long-term service agreements (LTSA) for the customers. An LTSA may cover the gas turbine only, the package and the gas turbine, or the entire plant. It may be based on a ‘time and materials’ contract, where the operator pays merely for the actual performed service work. It may also be a ‘power by the hour’ or a fixed-price contract for standard work packages. Some operators even demand a combination of different contract types.
Unscheduled services may be included, or just scheduled events such as a ‘hot section exchange’ or a major gas turbine overhaul. Unscheduled as well as scheduled events may be capped (the maintenance provider covers the costs of a defined event to a certain extent only) or not. Some operators limit their LTSA to maintenance management services only, such as a 24-hour hotline for troubleshooting, including a response and availability guarantee for on-site services. Other important issues of an LTSA may be availability and/or performance guarantees. The customer takes the decision about the required service.
