BC′s TOP Employers
The Canada’s Top 100 Employer project is a national annual competition that acknowledges leaders offering exceptional workplace for their employees. They are being rated under the following criteria:
- physical workplace
- work atmosphere & social
- financial & family benefits
- vacation & time off
- employee communications
- performance management
- training & development
- and community involvement.
Employers are compared to other companies in similar industries. A part of the application process is to survey employees and to measure their level of engagement and satisfaction working for a company.
BC’s Top Employer project is a regional competition and is organized by the national competition committee. They recognize top employers registered in the province of British Columbia as is MTU′s Canadian location in Richmond.
The Canada’s Top Employers for Young People is a national annual competition that is organized by the Canada's Top 100 Employers and recoginzes the employers that offer nation's best workplaces and programs for young people just starting their careers. Employers on this list are Canada's leaders in attracting and retaining younger employees. They are being rated under the following criteria:
- tuition assistance
- availability of co-op or work-study programs
- employer's mentorship and training programs
- career management program
- initiatives that assist younger workers to advance faster in the organization
- apprenticeship program
